Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Mealner: what the service is (and isn't), how to use it, and the legal terms that apply.
Last updated 27 June 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Mealner for use of the Mealner app and the mealner.com website. Please read them — by creating an account or using Mealner, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Mealner.
Mealner is provided by Mealner Ltd (company number 17300595), 155 Swaythling Close, London, England, N18 2QQ.
1. What Mealner is
Mealner is a wellness companion that helps you plan meals around your goal, log what you eat, and re-plan the rest of your day when life happens. It's designed to be calm, honest and on your side.
Mealner is not medical advice and is not a medical device. It isn't medically approved. Its outputs — including calorie and macro figures, plans and photo estimates — are indications, not measurements or prescriptions. Always check important decisions with a qualified doctor or registered nutritionist, and never use Mealner to diagnose, treat or manage a medical condition.
2. Who can use Mealner
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Mealner. By using it you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. Use a strong, unique password (or sign in with Apple or Google), and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. Keep your contact email current so we can reach you with security messages.
4. Acceptable use
Please use Mealner fairly. You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Mealner to harm yourself or others;
- attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or probe, scan or disrupt the service;
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute Mealner's content or data except as these terms allow;
- upload content you don't have the right to upload, or that is unlawful or harmful.
5. Health, allergens and dietary information
Mealner helps you record allergens, intolerances and dietary preferences and will hide items flagged as containing what you avoid. This is a best-effort aid, not a safety guarantee.
We can't verify every ingredient of every food, recipe or product, and food data can be incomplete or wrong. For this reason Mealner never describes a food as "safe" or "allergen-free". You must always read the actual product label and make your own judgement, especially if you have a serious allergy. If you have a medical condition, eating disorder, are pregnant, or have specific clinical needs, speak to a healthcare professional before changing how you eat.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you put into Mealner — the plans you upload, the meals you log and the details you enter. You grant us only the limited licence we need to operate the service for you (for example, to store your data, process an uploaded plan, and sync it across your devices). We process uploaded plans on our own infrastructure and never hand them to a third-party AI service.
7. Food data and attributions
Mealner's food information draws on public databases including Open Food Facts and OpenNutrition, used under the Open Database License (ODbL). That data is provided as-is and may be incomplete or inaccurate; treat figures as indications and check labels.
8. Subscriptions and payments
Mealner offers a free tier. If we offer paid features, the price, billing period and what's included will be shown clearly before you buy. Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple and are also subject to Apple's terms, including its rules on renewals, cancellations and refunds. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
9. Our intellectual property
Mealner, its name, logo, design, software and original content belong to us and our licensors. These terms don't give you any right to use our brand or content except as needed to use the service normally.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Mealner is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes arising from your reliance on Mealner's indicative outputs rather than professional advice.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Some of your statutory consumer rights cannot be excluded, and these terms don't affect them.
11. Ending your use of Mealner
You can stop using Mealner and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or where we must to protect the service or other users. If we end your access without good cause, you can of course export your data first.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England & Wales. If you're a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Mealner after a change means you accept the updated terms. The latest version always lives at mealner.com/terms.
